Chef Lorenzo of the Zeppelin Restaurant in Orvieto, Italy, has it going on! Not only does he have fantastic food made from fresh, local ingredients, he's got attitude. The name of his restaurant? Nothing to do with the flying apparatus of old. Nope, he's a Led Zeppelin fan. He even plays the rock music of old (Zeppelin days) while he demonstrates how to make pasta. All the while his staff (consisting of students from his chef school) is serving up a dizzying array of delectables, all to be washed down with the white Umbria wine of the area.
The antipasti was a plate with no less than five distinct flavors to sample (a dinner in itself), then a soup of chickpeas, the pasta, followed by the bread and main course you see to the right. Of course there was an unbelievably tasty dessert, coffee and liqueur, but the best part of all: The atmosphere, where he instigates fun with flavor over the 6-course meal.
Yes, don't plan to wear fitted clothes to this restaurant. Instead, show up in relaxed fit jeans and an appetite; you will NOT be disappointed!
