Dinner tonight was such an exquisite olfactory experience! We started with ciabatta dipped in olive oil and then were served ravioli made from scratch this morning stuffed with fresh ricotta, and dressed in a lovely light basil marinara. Oh, I could have stopped there a very happy woman, but then came the sea bass baked on a local lemon leaf for flavor and I decided I could leave my tongue in Italy. OH! The salad was served with a lemony dressing and then dessert was a thick slice of sweet bread soaked in some liqueur of local fame with a strip of custard.
Beyond that most recent Italian memory, we had a long day of flights in from the US. A few harried moments but we got through them and landed safely in Naples. Tonight the head hits the pillow and the snoring commences immediately.
