Why should I love you?
Because you love me.
Because you have stuck with me through thick and thin, even though its been mostly thin.
Because you provide for me and our children without fail.
Because you are ever improving on our house and fixing what needs fixing.
Because you are faithful.
But that isn’t why I love you.
I love you because you found my beauty and have revealed it to me.
Because you touch my soul’s very center.
Because you are my greatest comfort in the depths of my lows and my first thought in the peak of my highs.
Because you say you love me in everything you do…and in what you avoid doing.
Because you believe that I can do whatever I set my mind to and support me when I try.
I love you because of the divine and unbreakable link we have. Like molecules of electricity, you affect me with every word and gesture.
I love you because you love me beyond your own comfort. You left everything and everyone you knew to stay with me and live in an unknown place and unknown culture.
Just in case you wonder what the words ‘I love you’ mean when they fall from my lips, here is a short list for reference to give you an inkling of an idea.
