I'd rather pay the late fee

Oh, the tragedy and pain,

All the joy and story slain

When suddenly pulled from sight

my book returned without a fight

and I am left in my disdain

of the web world without gain.

I trudge and troll across the screen

To find the book I lost in dream

And wait once more impatiently

For patrons of the library

To finish up MY story book

Returning that to which I’m hooked

Upon my tablet’s darkened face

Reading at a leisure pace

The rest of the story.
