Driving into the Eastern sun so early this day, the slant of shadows cast fingers long across fields and hills. The road was striped with shadow and sunlight playing with my eyes and fooling my mind with the strobe. The scenery, pastoral and serene, reminded me of the Tuscan landscapes I passed through half way ‘round the earth so recently. I have an idea that I will be reminded of that wonderful experience through many commonalities in the coming months. The same was true when I returned from Senegal several years back.

Please join me in words and pictures, now that I have returned, as I share highlights of my first (and likely only) experience in Italy.
